Sacral Authority

The gut response in the moment, arriving before the mind has assembled an argument. Only Generators and Manifesting Generators have it.

How to use it

  • The Sacral answers in sounds rather than sentences: an uh-huh or an uh-uh, felt in the body before the reasoning starts. It responds to something concrete, which is why yes or no questions work and open ones do not.
  • It is immediate and it does not repeat itself. The mind arrives a second later with a case for the opposite, and the case is often excellent.
  • The response is about right now. A Sacral yes today is not a contract, and it is allowed to change.

Common mistakes

  • Talking yourself out of the first response
  • Asking yourself open questions the Sacral cannot answer
  • Deciding from a list of pros and cons, which is the mind rather than the authority

The practice

Have somebody ask you the question out loud as a yes or no, and listen for the sound before you speak. The response is easier to catch when it is not your own voice asking.

What does a Sacral response feel like?

Usually a sound or a physical lift and drop rather than a thought. It is immediate, it happens before reasoning, and it does not repeat itself if you ignore it.

Can I have Sacral authority as a Projector?

No. Sacral authority requires a defined Sacral, and a defined Sacral makes you a Generator or Manifesting Generator by definition.
